Tour Itinerary


Day 01 Entry Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 Beijing (B/L/D)
Visit 1. the Forbidden City which used to be the imperial palace of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties.
2. the Temple of Heaven, an outstanding representative of Chinese traditional architecture for its clever design and harmoneous colors. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the emperor came to pray and thank gods for the harvests every year.
3. the Tiananmen Square. Tian'anmen was the front gate of the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In front of the gate is the world's largest open ground in the city - the Tian'anmen Square.
Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner and the Peking Opera in the evening.

Day 03 Beijing (B/L)
Visit 1. the Badaling Great Wall that is the best preserved part of the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) Great Wall.
2. the statue-lined Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs where 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty and their empresses and concubines were buried.

Day 04 Beijing - Chongqing (B/L/D)
Visit 1. the Summer Palace, a magnificent imperial garden, the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for emperors.
Transfer to airport for flight to Chongqing.
Visit the Erling Park, Chongqing Zoo and Ciqikou old street.
After dinner, board the 5 star deluxe cruise ships East King or East Queen at 22:00 for a memorable voyage down the mighty Yangtze River.

Day 05 Shibaozhai (B/L/D)
After breakfast, disembark for an excursion to Shibaozhai at about 08:00. Shibaozhai was first built in Qing Dynasty in 1750, the mountain looks like a rectangular rock with sheer cliffs, and the wooden architecture that is built by catch upon the cliff with a height of 56 meters and 12 stories, standing on the riverside.
The Captain's Welcome Party will be held at about 19:00.

Day 06 Three Gorges (B/L/D)
Early in the morning, sail through the Qutang Gorge, its towering rock formations have names which reflect their bizarre shapes such as Hanging Monk Rock or Rhinoceros Looking at the Moon.
Around 8:30, pass the second gorge - Wu Gorge, celebrated for its lofty Twelve Peaks which almost blot out the sky. The guides will talk about legend of historic sites: Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang Stairway and the suspended coffins on the sheer cliffs.
At about 10:30, disembark at Badong and take a sampan tour to the picturesque Shennong Stream. The Shennong Stream is a tributary carrying clear, cooler water into the Yangtse. The "stream" runs through steep gorges, in which the ancient asian Bahu people used to live, thousands of years ago. Get ashore and continue the cruise.
At about 15:00, pass the Xiling Gorge, about 66 km long, it is the longest of the Three Gorges and is entirely within Hubei Province. This gorge is full of shoals and rapid currents. Pass the five-step ship lock at the Three Gorges Dam at about 18:30.

Day 07 Yichang - Shanghai (B/L)
Disembark at Sandouping and visit the Three Gorges Dam, it is planned to be by far the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Arrives in Yichang at about 11:30, our guide will meet you and transfer to the airport for flight to Shanghai.

Day 08 Shanghai (B/L/D)
Visit 1. the Shanghai Museum. The museum boasts over 120,000 pieces of collection, including bronze, ceramics, paintings, calligraphy, sculpture, ancient Chinese coins, jade furniture, and western art.
2. the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The tower is situated within the Pudong Park in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area. It is 1,245 feet high, and is one of the tallest structures in Asia.
3. the Yu Yuan Garden, a traditional Chinese park complete with beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations.
4. the Bund that is a great street for a stroll. With a length of 1 km, the bund is dotted with various grandiose solid buildings of western style dating back to the early this century in its west. Due to these imposing buildings, the bund is also reputed as "an international exhibition of architecture".

Day 09 Exit (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.
