Yinchuan
 

Yinchuan, capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is a famous historical and cultural city with a venerated history of 1,500 years. Its urban population of 380,000 comprises Hui, Han, Manchu and other ethnic groups. Apart from its traditional attractions, Yinchuan has since the 1980s opened a series of new tourist destinations, such as the mausoleums of the Western Xia Kingdom, the Black Spring Lake of Yongning, the Shahu Tourist Zone, the Helan Mountain, the Gunzhongkou and Suyukou tourist zones, and the Folklore Museum and ruins of ancient structures in downtown.
