Red Crag Memorial Museum

This museum in Hongyan (Red Crag) Village near the Hualong Bridge commemorates the revolutionary activities of the Communists before national liberation I 1949. It was the office of the Eighth Route Army in Chongqing form 1939 to 1946. Zhou Enlai, Dong Biwu, Ye Jianying, and other revolutionary leaders once had their residences here. Mao Zedong also lived here during the Communist-Kuomintang negotiations in Chongqing in 1945. The relics and photographs on display at the exhibition hall reflect the revolutionary struggles of the Chinese Communists during that period.
